Refunds and returns

What happens if something is not right, how long you have, and how to get your money back.

The short version. You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to change your mind, and 30 days if something is faulty. Email contact@andy-porter.co.uk and we will sort it out. Nothing on this page takes away your legal rights.

If you change your mind

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to tell us you want to send it back. Once you have told us, you have a further 14 days to actually post it.

Items need to come back unused and in the condition they reached you. You are welcome to unwrap something and look at it properly, the same as you would handle it in a shop. If it comes back visibly worn or damaged we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.

This covers everything physical in the shop: pendants, pyramids, cones, pocket pebbles, power plates, bracelets, keyrings, the children's items, the book and the zapper.

How to start a return

Email contact@andy-porter.co.uk with your order number and what you want to return. We will reply to confirm anything you need to know.

Please wait for that reply before posting anything. The registered office address in the footer is where returns go.

Who pays the postage

  • If the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we cover the return postage. Send us the receipt and we will refund it.
  • If you have simply changed your mind, the return postage is yours to pay.

Please get proof of posting. Until the parcel reaches us it is still your responsibility, and proof of posting is what protects you if it goes astray.

Getting your money back

We refund within 14 days of the item reaching us, or of you showing us proof that you have sent it, whichever comes first. In practice it is usually a good deal quicker than that.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. We cannot refund to a different one.

If you paid in Bitcoin, we refund the same amount of Bitcoin you sent us, to a wallet address you give us. We do not refund the pound value it was worth on the day, because the exchange rate moves and neither of us controls it. That means the refund may be worth more or less in pounds than what you originally paid. If you would rather avoid that, pay by card or PayPal.

Where you paid for delivery, the refund includes the standard delivery cost. If you chose a faster or upgraded service, we refund what standard delivery would have cost, not the premium. If you keep part of an order and return the rest, the delivery cost is not refunded.

If something arrives damaged or faulty

You have 30 days from delivery to reject a faulty item and get a full refund. Email us first, with a photograph if you can, and please do not post anything back before we have spoken.

After 30 days, and for up to six months, we will repair or replace it, or refund you if neither is practical.

One thing worth saying plainly about the handmade pieces. Every resin item is made by hand, one at a time, so small differences in colour, tiny bubbles and slight variation in the finish are part of how they are made rather than faults. No two are identical and they are not meant to be. A piece that arrives chipped, cracked or broken in transit is a different matter, and we will replace it.

What we cannot take back

  • Anything made to your own specification or personalised for you.
  • Digital downloads, audio and ebooks once the download has started, because you agree to waive the cancellation right at the point of purchase.

Standard shop pieces are not excluded. A pendant or pyramid being handmade does not stop you returning it if you change your mind.

Downloads, appointments, courses and workshops

The free meditations and guides cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.

Appointments, courses, workshops and events run on their own terms, set out on the terms and informed consent page. In summary:

  • Appointments are refunded in full if you cancel before the appointment date.
  • Events and workshops are refunded in full if you cancel seven days or more beforehand.
  • Courses cannot be refunded once the course has started, because your place has been held and cannot then be offered to anyone else.

Orders outside the UK

We ship to most countries. Most orders go to the United Kingdom and the United States.

Prices are in pounds sterling and do not include any customs duty, import tax or handling fee charged when the parcel reaches your country. Those are set by your own customs authority, they are yours to pay, and we cannot refund them.

If you are returning something from outside the UK because you changed your mind, the return postage is yours to pay. Please mark the parcel clearly as a returned item so it is not charged duty again on the way back to us.

Delivery times outside the UK vary, and customs can add time that neither of us controls.

If a parcel is late or does not arrive

Email us and we will chase it. Postal services set their own waiting periods before a parcel can be treated as lost, and those differ between UK and international post. Once we reach that point we will either send a replacement or refund you, whichever you prefer.

Your legal rights

Nothing on this page reduces your legal rights.

If you are a consumer in the UK, your rights include those under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Buying from outside the UK does not change how we treat you: the policy on this page is offered to everyone, wherever the parcel is going.
