Privacy & cookie policy
What happens to your information, written so you can actually read it.
Last updated August 2026. This policy covers andy-porter.co.uk.
Who is responsible for your data
Spiritinspiredhealing Ltd is the data controller. It is registered in England and Wales, company number 13651475, with its registered office at 7/8 Avon Reach, Monkton Hill, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 1EE, United Kingdom. Andy and Jayne Porter are the people you will deal with. For anything to do with your personal information, write to contact@andy-porter.co.uk.
What is collected, and when
- When you contact me: your name, email address and whatever you write in the message. Messages frequently contain sensitive personal detail about health and family circumstances, and are treated accordingly.
- When you book a session: your name, email address, chosen slot and the account you give when you book. Booking is handled by Calendly, and payment by Stripe, PayPal, bank payment or Bitcoin.
- When you order from the shop: your name, delivery address, email address and order details, handled by the shop and its payment processor.
- When you subscribe to the newsletter: your first name, last name and email address.
- When you simply visit: standard server logs, and whatever the cookies described below collect.
Card details
I never see them. Card payments go through Stripe or PayPal, and card numbers do not reach me, are not stored by me, and never touch this website. Bank payment and Bitcoin are also accepted, and neither involves card details at all.
What it is used for
- Replying to you
- Carrying out and reporting on a session you have booked
- Fulfilling and posting a shop order
- Sending the newsletter, if you asked for it
- Meeting legal obligations, principally keeping financial records
Your information is never sold, and it is never passed to anybody for their own marketing.
Session notes and reports
What you tell me before a session, and the report I write afterwards, are kept so that I can refer back to them if you book again. They are treated as confidential. They are not shared with anyone, not published, and not used as a testimonial unless you offer one and I ask you first.
How long it is kept
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 12 months, then deleted
- Session records and reports: up to 7 years, so that returning clients have continuity
- Order and financial records: 6 years, as HMRC requires
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the bottom of any newsletter
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This one uses:
- Essential cookies: needed for the shop basket, checkout and any logged-in area to function at all. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Preference cookies: remembering your cookie choices so you are not asked repeatedly.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: only if you consent. These tell me how the site is used and, where advertising pixels are active, allow adverts to be measured.
You can change your mind at any time through your cookie settings, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser.
Other companies involved
Running the site means using other services, each of which has its own privacy policy: the web host, Calendly for booking, Stripe and PayPal for card payments, Mailchimp for email campaigns, and, where you choose to use them, embedded video and podcast platforms.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to:
- Tell you what I hold about you, and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, where I am not legally required to keep it
- Restrict or object to how it is used
- Withdraw consent, at any time, where consent was the basis for it
Email contact@andy-porter.co.uk and I will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please tell me first so I can put it right. Email contact@andy-porter.co.uk.
Children
This site is not aimed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 16. Where a session is booked for a child it is booked by a parent or guardian, whose details are the ones held.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
