Negative Dark Force Entities (often shortened to DFEs) are described in spiritual and metaphysical frameworks as non-physical intelligences or energetic forms that exist outside the human body but can, under certain conditions, interact with or attach to a person’s energy field.
They are not the human soul itself, nor are they a person’s thoughts or personality. Instead, they are understood as external influences that can affect emotional states, mental clarity, behaviour, and overall vitality by interacting with the subtle (energetic or etheric) layers of a person.
These entities are generally associated with low or dense energetic frequencies and tend to thrive in environments where fear, trauma, addiction, prolonged stress, or emotional overwhelm are present. Importantly, their presence does not mean a person is “weak”, “bad”, or at fault. Vulnerability is often linked to life experiences rather than personal failure.
What Is Negative Energy?

Negative energy is just that, an energy that is the opposite of positive. This energy, in my experience, can take many forms and impact individuals in different ways, and we as humans have throughout the centuries given certain names and identities to it, such as demons, spirits and monsters. Old religions and ancient traditions make reference to negative entities in their scripture, and even to this day voodoo, witchcraft, spells and curses can be used to invoke and direct streams of negative energy by those who understand how to work with this energy, to the detriment of the target person.
Because this type of energy exists beyond normal physical perception, most spiritual practices and techniques cannot be measured and quantified the way we measure physical things with our third dimensional perception, or proven in conventional scientific terms. Believing is therefore much harder for those who have not been touched by, or are not sensitive to, the unseen world.
However, things that go bump in the night are a fact for many people. Many report real experiences with unseen influences, suggesting that interaction with the non-physical world has been a consistent part of human experience across time, and it seems odd that we as humans are so drawn to exploring the unseen world.
Everything our five senses can pick up constitutes energy in one form or another, and we know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, though its form can be changed. Spiritual energy is sometimes conceived of as a universal life force running within and between all things. This energy can be referred to as qi, prana, kundalini, the breath of life, or spirit.
Working with these concepts it would be easy to go with the idea of good and bad energy, since everything in life has an equal and opposite force, and here is where the idea of positive energy and negative energy comes in.
Many healers can see negative energy in the body using their psychic sight, and this energy can be manipulated using various tools such as crystals. The subject of negative energy is large enough to fill a book of its own, so here we will cover the types of negative energy and, more importantly for the reader, how this energy can be dissipated or removed for healing to take place.
Environment
We all have an innate ability to feel using our senses and our psychic ability. Some have trained that ability like a muscle and are very good at sensing things and picking things up from their surroundings.
Most people can relate to walking into a room or building and feeling uncomfortable for no apparent reason. Their senses have picked up a threat and the body is put into a state of alert. This is the fight or flight response we have inherited from our ancestors. Because your aura expands into your environment ahead of your physical body, you can feel and sense things, in the same way that you walk past someone in a shopping centre and feel uncomfortable, the hairs standing up on your neck. It is a defence mechanism warning you of danger.
Depending on your makeup and personality you may feel easier in a light, positive environment, or, if you are inclined the other way, happier in a dark, threatening one. Most people feel uneasy walking through a dangerous part of a city at night, probably because we know it is a negative place and our senses pick up on the negative energy we are exposed to.
Houses are the same. Areas that are not used and are crammed full of old things start to harbour stale and possibly negative energy. As time passes this energy gets thicker and, as the universal law states, like attracts like, so it grows. Feng shui works with this principle of negative and stale energy. Creating a harmonious feeling in your home or business means removing obstructions so energy can flow without restriction and does not get caught in corners and behind objects. Plants and living things can be used to increase the flow of positive energy.
Many large companies employ feng shui consultants to design their offices and attract prosperous, positive energy. Orange, the mobile phone company, became known for it: foo dogs at the front of their buildings to ward off negative energy, and coins under the doormats to attract prosperity. If working with energy were just superstition, would big corporate companies engage in these practices at all?
Do DFEs Really Exist?
Working on the theory that there are unseen forces operating within our time-space continuum, we can consider the existence of other forms of life and energetic influences that coexist within our physical space. These forces have not yet been formally categorised or documented by the scientific community, but I believe that in time to come this will happen, as advances in understanding and technology eventually allow for such investigation.
Numerous books and theories have explored aliens, extraterrestrial life and other non-human intelligences, and the word entity has been used for many years to describe such possibilities. While there is currently no hard, definitive empirical evidence to confirm the existence of these beings or energies, their presence has been widely discussed across cultural, philosophical, and spiritual traditions.
If you are looking for conventional hard evidence, it is difficult to find. Most people who come across an unseen entity are understandably reluctant to go on record, document or publicly discuss their experience, for fear of ridicule by family and friends, social rejection, or the consequences at work. This reluctance creates a significant barrier to open discussion and systematic documentation.
Society has been constructed in such a way as to stop people expressing their personal experience if it does not fit the accepted normal life promoted by the various controlling structures around the world. Modern society is largely built around accepted norms of perception and experience, so personal accounts that fall outside these boundaries are often discouraged or dismissed, limiting the space for individuals to openly explore or express experiences that challenge mainstream understanding.

Looking into the past, it is not difficult to find pictorial evidence of non-human creatures. When examining historical records, artwork, and ancient architecture, depictions of non-human or hybrid beings appear across many cultures. The pyramids in Egypt, along with their accompanying hieroglyphs and iconography, are an example of a time when non-human looking creatures were talked about and drawn, providing some form of record from our ancestors. Whether interpreted symbolically, mythologically, or literally, these records indicate that humanity has long contemplated the presence of other intelligences interacting with Earth.

The Bible and other scripture document very clearly that a human being can be possessed and attacked by unseen forces, and this fear factor has frequently been used by religious institutions as a form of authority and control, reinforcing behavioural conformity through fear. Even today some use fear as a method of dictatorship, citing that to please God and remain pure one must follow the rules precisely, forgetting that every holy book in the world has been written, translated and interpreted by human hands and therefore contains a cultural and historical bias.
There is currently no reliable way to capture images or produce detailed, scientifically verifiable proof of these energies or entities, and so we carry on working with myth and legend as to where they are from and what they can do on this planet. Much of our understanding remains rooted in mythology, historical accounts, personal testimony, and symbolic interpretation. Until new methods of observation and measurement emerge, exploration of these phenomena will continue to exist at the intersection of myth, belief, and human experience.
Where Do Dark Force Entities Come From?
Many people ask where these entities come from, and the answer is that we don’t really know. There are many ideas and different people hold different viewpoints, but since we are unable to prove the existence of other dimensions and alternate realities, it’s not surprising that we don’t know for sure.
There is much speculation in the spiritual world and many people have different opinions, but from my personal viewpoint it does not matter whether it is proved or not. The fact is these energies exist and have a very large impact on our planet, probably more so than any of us realise.
Protection from these other energy forms is essential, especially as planet Earth is entering an ascension state and negativity is being released on a fast timescale. Drugs and the breakdown of our societies will only add to the problem until Western society and science accept the concept of other energies and different dimensions, enabling us to start teaching our children the simple methods, meditation and visualisation, that keep us protected.
Within spirit release and transpersonal models, DFEs are understood to originate from several non-physical sources, rather than a single place or belief system:
1. Lower Astral or Non-Physical Realms
Many traditions describe layers of reality beyond the physical world. Some entities are thought to exist in lower astral or non-physical environments that resonate with dense emotional states such as fear, anger, or despair. These realms are not “hell” in a religious sense, but rather states of consciousness that lack awareness, compassion, or evolution.
2. Thought-Form or Energetic Creations
Some DFEs are believed to be created through repeated human thought patterns, intense emotions, or collective fear. Over time, these energetic patterns can take on a semi-autonomous form, behaving almost like a feedback loop that reinforces the same emotions that created them.
3. Interdimensional or Non-Human Consciousness
Certain frameworks propose that some entities are non-human intelligences that exist across dimensions or frequencies not normally perceived by the human senses. These are often described as opportunistic rather than omnipotent, interacting with human energy systems when conditions allow.
4. Parasitic Energetic Forms
Rather than having motives like humans do, many DFEs are described as energetic parasites. They do not “plan” or “judge”. They simply respond to compatible energy. Much like mould grows in damp conditions, these entities are said to gravitate towards unresolved trauma, exhaustion, or prolonged emotional distress.
Interdimensional parasites and energetic cords picked up from other energies can siphon vitality from a person’s aura, leaving them feeling exhausted, anxious or disconnected from their true self. Through psychic surgery these hidden attachments can be identified and carefully cleared, restoring balance and healthy spiritual growth.
How Dark Force Entities Affect and Interact with Us

Spirits and entities walk the earth plane at a different frequency to human beings, which is why most people never see them. Some are able to channel enough energy to interact with the physical world we live in.
How Attachment Happens
DFEs do not randomly attach to people. Attachment is understood to occur through energetic vulnerability, which may arise from:
- Trauma or shock
- Sexual abuse
- Prolonged emotional distress
- Dissociation or fragmentation
- Substance abuse
- Occult practices that have gone wrong
- Exhaustion or nervous system overload
- Previous spiritual interference
Regarding how and why they connect, this is a large subject in itself, and there can be any number of reasons. They connect to your etheric field via perforations that have been opened because your etheric field has been compromised. The most common reasons negative entities are able to connect through these perforations are substance abuse, trauma, sexual abuse and occult practices that have gone wrong.
When attached, DFEs may influence thoughts, emotions, perception, or behaviour, often subtly, gradually, and without the individual realising an external influence is present.
What I Have Experienced in My Work
In my experience, working the way I do, my interpretation of the unseen forces I have come across is simply that there are energies we cannot see in the physical, but which have the ability to connect with humans and speak to us using telepathy if we have a perforated aura and our spiritual protection has broken down.
These energies are largely fully conscious, in that they can think for themselves and make decisions. They are very clever and know their way around the human psyche. To underestimate them would be a grave mistake. Some are what we would call from the light, with positive intent towards humanity, working in the higher astral plane. Others have negative intent, and we refer to them as from shadow, working from the lower astral plane.
While working on many clients I have seen other energies come in and work alongside my own guides, helping and offering alternate knowledge. They seem to be here to provide help and reassurance to the other spiritual energies working here, and appear to have a wholly positive agenda. I have personally experienced many different types of energy working through me while trance channelling during psychic surgery appointments.
On the other hand, I have spoken directly to controlling and possessing entities that seem to be running their human victim. These energies are always aggressive, rude and full of their own self-importance. They do not recognise or care that they have taken over and tormented the human host, and they laugh at the idea of releasing them.
They almost always recite that the human host lowered their spiritual protection and in some form agreed to the possession. This seems to happen when drugs invoke a psychedelic state and the person, while on their trip, gives up their free will to another entity and allows it to occupy their body and feed on their energy.
These entities need energy to exist as we need food and water, so for them it is like striking gold, a ready source of human energy on tap. They increase their intake by creating fear and hate in the human host, because that increases the negative energy available to them. When the host enters a state of fear, adrenaline is released into the bloodstream and this increases the power felt by the entity. That is why these entities speak to the host in a nasty and vicious manner.
Most of the clients I see intuitively know there is something not right inside their body. Many can feel things moving around inside a certain part of the body, a wriggling sensation or a sharp movement being a common complaint. Pain is another indication, particularly random pain in the same spot followed by an energy drain.
Our intuition is our best friend in these cases. It rings a warning bell through to our subconscious that something is not right, depending on how sensitive and attuned to our own body we are. Western society teaches us to disconnect from intuition and use logic in its place, so many people struggle for years before seeking help from someone other than a conventional doctor.
Signs of Spiritual Possession You Should Never Ignore
Spiritual possession may present through a combination of mental, emotional, physical, and environmental indicators. These can vary depending on the strength and level of the entity involved.
Common Signs of Spiritual Possession
- Persistent, intrusive negative thoughts that feel foreign or out of character
- Sudden or extreme mood swings, intense emotions, or personality and emotional shifts without clear cause
- Feelings of anger, fear, or despair that seem amplified or irrational
- Suicidal thoughts or self-destructive impulses
- Sleep disturbances, including insomnia, night terrors, or disturbed dreams
- Ongoing fatigue, low energy, or feelings of heaviness, oppression, or being energetically “drained”
Mental and Behavioural Signs
- Acting out of character, or feeling disconnected from yourself and “not like yourself”
- Loss of control over thoughts, speech, or actions at times
- Hearing internal voices, voices that feel external or intrusive, or strong intrusive impressions
- Heightened emotional reactions or irrational behaviour
- Repetitive self-sabotaging patterns
- Confusion, brain fog, or difficulty focusing
Physical and Sensory Signs
- Unexplained aches, pains, or physical sensations not linked to medical causes
- Pressure around the head, chest, or body
- Sudden temperature changes or chills without cause
- Increased clumsiness, bumping into things, dropping items
Environmental and Life-Pattern Indicators
- Unpleasant or foul smells with no physical source
- Animals reacting unusually, such as moving away, staring, fear, or aggression (for example dogs snarling)
- A strong sense of a presence, of being watched or not alone
- Repeated bad luck or a run of negative events
- Things frequently breaking, malfunctioning, or going wrong around you
- Minor accidents or mishaps happening more often than usual
Energetic Indicators
- Feeling overshadowed or influenced by an external force
- Significant drop in personal sovereignty, energetic strength, confidence, clarity, or personal power
- Difficulty maintaining focus, clarity, or groundedness
Within DFES, these signs are used as indicators only and are always assessed carefully before any clearing work is undertaken.
Types of Negative Entities
Many clients ask me how many different types of negative entities there are and what they look like from a psychic perspective.
Working as a psychic surgeon, I can see a person’s etheric field when I choose to scan it during an appointment, but I do not see it all the time. When I do scan, and work with my spirit guide Chen, I can see these negative entities and the form they take. There seem to be huge numbers and many different types of these entities, so for simplicity I grade them as type 1, 2 and 3.
Type 1: Gargoyle Entities

Gargoyle-type entities are negative, parasitic energies that can attach to the etheric field. They often present in a form similar to the well-known gargoyles you see on the roofs of many churches and cathedrals. These entities feed off our negative emotions and low-frequency energy to sustain themselves.
When present, they can cause sleep-related problems and generally create a feeling of being very tired, with low energy, fatigue and strange, intrusive negative thoughts. We find them very easy to identify, remove and clear from the etheric field.
Type 2: Demonic Entities

These entities present themselves to me as the well-known demonic entities we see in the media. There are many different levels and types of these, rather like a hierarchy.
Most people have small ones that are relatively easy to remove. These are the entities that all religions make reference to. My understanding from my guide Chen is that they have a hierarchy rather like the one we understand in the angelic realms.
The lower the vibration, the more powerful the entity. These entities (demons, Jinn) cause many problems, including very negative thoughts, suicidal tendencies, sleep problems, odd pains and emotions the medical profession cannot explain.
Type 3: Alien Entities

Type 3 negative entities we come across would be described as alien entities. They can be difficult to remove.
Generally, these are very negative and have a hugely detrimental effect on the mental health of anyone they are connected with. They project intrusive thoughts and essentially feed on the negative vibration of the host they connect with. They cause many sleep-related problems.
Many clients’ accounts suggest they are abducted whilst sleeping and have different types of tests performed on them. They wake to find strange marks on their physical bodies and start to feel intense fear in the middle of the night.
Alien-type entities are non-human, interdimensional or off-planet intelligences that can interact with the human energy field. They are often perceived as technologically advanced and may operate with a level of precision and detachment, rather than emotion. Within DFES, they are understood to exist in different types and levels, with some being relatively minor influences and others more complex in structure.
These entities may interfere with the energetic system in a mechanical or systematic way, sometimes described as working with implants, frequency disruption, or energetic interference patterns. Their presence can affect clarity of thought, focus, and overall energetic balance.
Common indicators may include mental fog, disconnection, unusual thought patterns, sleep disruption, and sensations within the body that feel unnatural or difficult to explain. Some individuals report a sense of being monitored or influenced in a non-emotional, controlled manner.
Within DFES work, these entities require a more structured and precise approach, but can be identified and cleared effectively through the correct protocol.

Across the World’s Religions
Across many of the world’s religions and ancient spiritual traditions, we repeatedly find references to non-physical beings or forces believed to influence human thoughts, behaviour and society.
The names differ from culture to culture, but the theme is remarkably persistent.
In Christianity, we find Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub and demons or fallen angels, described as tempting, deceiving or influencing humanity.
In Judaism, traditions refer to Satan, Lilith, Asmodeus, Shedim and other harmful spirits.
In Islam, there is Iblis, the Shayatin and certain Jinn. Jinn themselves are not automatically evil, but Islamic tradition describes rebellious or harmful beings that tempt and mislead people.
In Zoroastrianism, Angra Mainyu, also known as Ahriman, represents the destructive spirit, accompanied by the Daevas and other forces associated with deception and disorder.
In Hindu traditions, beings such as Asuras and Rakshasas can appear as hostile or disruptive supernatural forces, although their roles are more complex than the Western idea of a demon.
In Buddhism, Mara represents temptation, distraction, fear and the forces that prevent awakening. Buddhist traditions also contain numerous classes of troublesome or hostile spirits.

Ancient Mesopotamian cultures described beings such as Lamashtu, Pazuzu, Gallu and Utukku, while ancient texts contain rituals intended to protect people from harmful spiritual influences.
Ancient Egyptian religion spoke of destructive supernatural forces and beings associated with chaos, including Apep or Apophis, the great serpent representing opposition to cosmic order.
Greek traditions contained harmful daimones, although the original word daimon could refer to either benevolent or harmful spiritual beings rather than exclusively evil ones.
Across these traditions, the terminology and theology are very different, but there is a recurring human belief that unseen intelligences or spiritual forces can affect people through temptation, fear, confusion, obsession, deception or disruption.
It would therefore be inaccurate to say that every religion teaches an identical doctrine of “demons”, but it is fair to say that belief in potentially harmful spiritual influences appears across a remarkable range of religions and cultures throughout human history.
Archons and Flyers
The Archons come from ancient Gnostic traditions, particularly writings associated with the Nag Hammadi texts. They were described as ruling or controlling forces that could keep humanity trapped in ignorance, illusion and separation from its divine nature. In modern spiritual interpretations, Archons are sometimes understood as non-physical parasitic intelligences that influence human thought and behaviour, although that goes beyond what can be established historically from the ancient texts.

Carlos Castaneda explored a strikingly similar idea in his writings about the teachings of Don Juan Matus. In The Active Side of Infinity, Castaneda describes what Don Juan calls “flyers” or predators, beings said to influence humanity by imposing a kind of foreign mind that encourages fear, repetitive thinking, self-importance and unconscious behaviour.
Because of these similarities, later writers have drawn parallels between Castaneda’s flyers and the Gnostic Archons. The underlying message is essentially one of awareness and sovereignty: by becoming conscious of our thoughts, fears and conditioning, we become less easily influenced and more capable of acting from our own awareness.
It is worth noting that Castaneda presented his books as accounts of his apprenticeship with Don Juan, but their factual and anthropological authenticity became heavily disputed, and they are now generally treated more cautiously as spiritual or literary works rather than verified ethnography.
The Anunnaki
The Anunnaki come from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, especially Sumerian, Akkadian and Babylonian traditions. In the original texts, they were a group of powerful deities associated with the divine order, the heavens, the earth and, in some traditions, the underworld.
Some of the best-known figures connected with the Anunnaki tradition include Anu, the sky god and father of the gods, Enlil, associated with air, authority and kingship, Enki, associated with wisdom, water and creation, Ninhursag, a mother and fertility goddess, Inanna, later known as Ishtar, associated with love, war and power, Utu, later Shamash, the sun god, and Nanna, later Sin, the moon god.

In modern alternative and spiritual interpretations, particularly through the work of Zecharia Sitchin, the Anunnaki were reimagined as advanced beings from another world who came to Earth in the distant past. Sitchin argued that beings such as Enki and Enlil played major roles in humanity’s development and that the Anunnaki genetically altered early humans to create a workforce, often linking this to gold mining and the planet Nibiru.
This version of the story has become hugely influential in ancient astronaut and alternative history circles. It is often used to explore ideas around human origins, hidden history, genetic intervention and whether ancient gods may have been misunderstood advanced beings.
It is important to separate the two traditions. The ancient Mesopotamian texts do describe the Anunnaki and these named deities, but they do not support Sitchin’s specific claims about extraterrestrials, genetic engineering or gold mining. Those ideas are modern interpretations.
From a spiritual perspective, the Anunnaki story continues to resonate because it raises a fascinating question: were the ancient gods symbolic beings, spiritual intelligences, or something more physical that humanity later remembered as gods?
After an Appointment: Clearing Negative Entities
After an appointment, many people would like to know which types of negative entities were attached to them, where they came from and how they became attached. Over the years, I have found that since these entities are negative, they do not tell the truth, continually lie and generally are difficult to deal with from a telepathic perspective. Therefore, we do not engage with them at all, favouring disconnecting and clearing them from the client. My spirit guide Chen and his team then remove the entities from this dimension so they cannot try to reconnect.
After we have removed negative entities, the same ones will not return to you.
The Work of Dr Terence Palmer and Andy Porter, Psychic Surgeon
Pioneering Research and Practical Methods for Clearing Negative Entities
For over a decade, Dr Terence Palmer and Andy Porter worked closely together to investigate, understand, and address the phenomenon of negative non-physical entities affecting human wellbeing.
Their collaboration bridged academic research, clinical observation, and direct spiritual intervention, forming the foundations of what is now known as Remote Spirit Release (RSR).
Dr Terence Palmer: Research, Psychology, and a Scientific Framework
Dr Terence Palmer was a psychologist, hypnotherapist, and researcher who dedicated much of his professional life to exploring the relationship between spirit attachment and mental health, particularly in cases where conventional approaches alone had limited success.
Through decades of research, case studies, and academic engagement, Dr Palmer proposed that some forms of psychological distress, such as intrusive thoughts, hearing voices, severe anxiety, or unexplained emotional shifts, could, in certain cases, involve external non-physical influences rather than originating solely from the individual’s psyche.
Crucially, Dr Palmer did not frame this work as religious exorcism or belief-based healing. Instead, he developed a methodical, ethical protocol grounded in:
- Consent via the client’s Higher Self
- Clear differentiation between psychological and spiritual factors
- Professional boundaries and safety
- Documentation and repeatable processes
His work sought to create a language and methodology that could be discussed alongside psychology and psychiatry, rather than in opposition to them.
Andy Porter: Practical Application and Direct Clearing Work
Andy Porter brought extensive experience as a psychic surgeon and trance practitioner, with a strong working connection to trusted spirit guides. Where Dr Palmer focused on research and structure, Andy Porter’s role centred on the practical identification and removal of entities from a person’s energetic field.
Working remotely, Andy Porter demonstrated that physical presence was not required to:
- Scan the etheric field
- Identify attached entities, interferences, or implants
- Support their safe and controlled removal
- Restore grounding and energetic balance
This work was always conducted within a strict protocol, ensuring that the practitioner did not “fight” or confront entities, but instead worked through higher-level spiritual assistance, maintaining safety for both the practitioner and the individual being helped.
A Collaborative Model: Research Meets Practice
Together, Dr Palmer and Andy Porter developed and refined a team-based model involving:
- A trained facilitator
- A medium or trance practitioner
- Spirit guides who perform the actual clearing
Across more than a thousand documented cases, this approach demonstrated that:
- Negative entities could be identified without suggestion or hypnosis.
- Their removal often coincided with a noticeable reduction in distress.
- Clients frequently reported feeling clearer, calmer, and more grounded afterwards.
Importantly, their work never replaced medical or mental health care. Instead, it aimed to remove spiritual interference so that individuals could better benefit from therapy, counselling, or rehabilitation where needed.
Legacy and Ongoing Impact
Dr Terence Palmer’s passing in 2021 marked the loss of a major pioneer in this field, but his research and protocols continue to inform modern spirit release practice. Andy Porter continues this work, applying and teaching the methods developed through their collaboration.
Together, their legacy represents a serious, compassionate attempt to explore an often-ignored dimension of human suffering, one that neither dismisses psychology nor reduces spiritual experience to superstition.
At its heart, their work is about restoring sovereignty: helping people regain clarity, autonomy, and a sense of self when something external has been interfering with their inner world.
This Work Sits Alongside Medical Care, Never Instead of It
This page describes what clients report and what I perceive during an appointment. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not medical advice. Several of the experiences described here, including hearing voices, are also recognised medical conditions, and a doctor is the right first call.
I am not medically trained. I do not diagnose, I do not treat medical or psychiatric conditions, and I will never advise anyone to stop or change prescribed medication.
If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please do not wait for an appointment. Contact your GP, your local crisis team or emergency services. In the UK, Samaritans are on 116 123, day or night.
