Andy’s spirit guide
Chen
A rice farmer who died in 1624, and the reason any of this work is possible. A growing body of teaching, taken down over years, plus a live question and answer most Sundays.
Spirit portrait of Chen, drawn by Anna T, 2021.
Who he is
Four hundred years, and still mostly talking about laughing
Chen grew rice. He died in 1624. He has been with me since the beginning of this work and does the part of it I cannot do alone.
The division of labour is roughly this: he sees, I ask and I clear. He is patient with people and profoundly impatient with nonsense, and he is a great deal funnier than four centuries of being dead would lead you to expect.
Laugh every day. This raises your vibration and frequency.
That is his answer to almost every question he has ever been asked, and after twenty years I have stopped treating it as a platitude. He means it mechanically. Laughter changes the state of the field, the state of the field changes what can attach to it, and he considers the rest of it detail.
His teachings were taken down through automatic writing over a period of years. What follows is his material, in his order, not mine.
The teachings
The subjects
Start wherever the question you actually have is. They do not need reading in order.
Are Ouija boards dangerous?
What a talking board actually opens, and why the risk is real but widely misunderstood.
What are chakras actually for?
Chen’s engine analogy: you do not need the mechanics, you need to know the maintenance.
How to meditate properly
Practical instruction, stripped of the ceremony most teaching wraps around it.
What drugs do to your energy field
The most consistent warning Chen gives, and the most common origin story I hear in sessions.
What is a thought form?
How repeated fear or ill-will acquires enough shape to start acting on its own.
How to clear your own energy
What you can do for yourself, before and instead of paying anyone to do it for you.
What is consciousness?
Chen on what the mind actually is, and where it goes when the body stops.
What does spirit think of religion?
A question Chen is asked constantly, answered more generously than most people expect.
Do animals have souls?
Pets, grief, and what Chen says happens to animals afterwards.
Does spirit approve of medicine?
Chen on doctors, prescriptions and why he has no patience with anyone who tells you to stop.
Are magic rituals dangerous?
Spells, ceremony, and the difference between intention and invitation.
Are aliens real?
Chen’s answer, which is neither the one the believers want nor the one the sceptics expect.
Why the world feels like this
Chen on planetary change, and why so many people report the last few years as physically heavy.
Live most Sundays
Ask Chen yourself
A live question and answer, most Sundays, with Jayne and me. Free to join.
People bring whatever they have: a symptom they cannot name, a house that feels wrong, a bereavement that has not settled, or a straightforwardly philosophical question about what any of this is. Chen answers directly and does not pad.
It is also, frankly, the cheapest way to work out whether this is for you. You can sit and listen without saying a word.

Most Sundays, though not when there is a workshop on or one of Chen’s free thump the grid meditations. In Australia or New Zealand it falls in the early hours, so the replay goes up straight afterwards.
Living Life the Chen Way, if you would rather learn the method properly.
